Wale X TV on the Radio X Saul Williams

There's a headline I never dreamed I'd write. Should I have? Wale, the starting freshman from D.C. and acclaimed mixtape auteur, recently revealed that he's three weeks out from completing recording on his debut album and currently polishing some tracks he did with none other than Dave Sitek of the critically beloved avant-garde outfit, TV on the Radio...
Remaining work to be done on the, as-of-now, two Sitek-produced tracks includes the possible addition of choruses from legendary spoken-word artist/"amethyst rock star" Saul Williams and TVOTR's own frontman (and fellow Nigerian), Tunde Adebimpe. As far as traditionally-eye-rolling rock x rap collabos go, it could be a lot worse.

Wale's often alluded to his status as a representative of a "post-Kanye" generation of rappers. Let's hope that means he's a talented and adventurous musician, and not quite so mullet-friendly. This, actually, could be a good look.
