October's Very Own presents the latest much anticipated, "fashionably late" offering from the homey, Drake. And judging by the ridiculous amount of activity at the blog and the already 8,000 downloads for the mix (which was supposed to drop at midnight but popped up about an hour and a half ago) I think it's safe to say that this young man is about to blow...
For the uninitiated: Drake is from Toronto, used to star in the cult classic teen series Degrassi, and hooked up with Young Money last year. The tape features Lil Wayne, Bun B, Lykke Li, Peter Bjorn & John, Omarion, Trey Songs and more. Two things upon listening:
1. This and Blaps are hands-down the hottest hip-hop releases this year. Albums are overrated.
2. So far Gone sounds like it would not at all be possible without 808s & Heartbreak. I don't think we yet understand how that album changed the game.

Wow, I found this on Ask looking for something totally unrelated, and now I'm gonna have to go back and go all the old posts :) So long my free time today, but this was a great find.

And it costs us, in terms of our relationship with other governments, in terms of the willingness of other intelligence services to work with us, in terms of revealing sources and methods.
