Considering all our staff is from, or has lived in, the Lone Star State, we couldn't ignore the biggest sports story to come outta Texas since Tracy McGrady sabotaged the Houston Rockets:
All-world athlete and future Hall of Famer, Terrell Owens, was cut from America's Team on Wednesday. As lifelong, cry-when-they-lose-to-the-fucking-Eagles-with-the-playoffs-on-the-line fan, I'm livid.
Mr. Couch? Not so much.
Needless to say, I had to call in to his Connecticut-based studio, and relay the pain and anger of Texans everywhere. Except, of course, Houston Texans, who are presently preoccupied sucking balls.

This is a move that the Cowboys needed to make. You can't pay a guy almost $70 million to lead your offense, then continue to hang on to a guy that demands the ball and keeps said $70 million player from doing what he needs to do. You absolutely cannot have someone undermine Romo like that. The situation would be different if Romo had the personality of a Phillip Rivers or somebody equally strong-willed/stubborn. Even when the Chargers were floundering and LT was crying for the ball Rivers continued to do things his way and didn't kowtow to anyone. If Romo had the stones to do that to TO then the Cowboys would be fine. As it is now, Dallas cuts ties with a guy that is better known in his Cowboy-tenure for dropping balls and not making the big plays when the team needed it.
The only downside to cutting TO is that now the Cowboys will have to rely more on Crayton, Hurd, and Austin, and that's a downright frightening proposition.
