As you will soon be gone, we've made this mixtape in your honor. You've been good to us this year, so we took care to make it special.
For the inaugural Summer Grams, we took the hottest new hip-hop tracks from both up-and-coming and established artists that have defined summer '09, and put them next to classic head-nodders from rap's golden age over a 2-disc collection. It's the kind of music you'll want to play when the weather is nice and you just put some money in the bank; at a labor day barbecue and beyond.
The sound is sunny, sexy and vibrant, featuring tracks from rising stars and ATG favorites like: Fresh Daily, Theophilus London, Wale, Drake, Mickey Factz, Kidz in the Hall and Shawn Chrystopher; along with pioneering vets like: Ice Cube, Bone Thugz n' Harmony, A Tribe Called Quest, Souls of Mischief, Missy Elliott and a special nod to Michael Jackson.
